In Mexico, palm leaf weaving is a tradition. Throughout history, we have seen howits strength and flexibility have been used to create a wide range of useful everyday products.
Although the raw materials are readily available, the incomparable value of each handwoven palm craft lies precisely in the work involved in creating the designs, discerning which type of weave to use, or determining the technique to employ, as these factors determine the integrity, durability, and usability of the finished crafts. The various weaving techniques are passed down from generation to generation, preserving a part of our culture.
