About Charrería: Charrería is an expression of Mexican culture rooted in the history of colonial Mexico and the traditions of Spanish vaquero (cowboy) cowboys. During the colonial period, Spanish vaqueros brought their horse-breaking and cattle-handling skills with them. Over time, these skills blended with indigenous practices, and the charrería lifestyle developed. The term "charro" refers to a Mexican horseman or vaquero skilled in handling horses and cattle. Charros became central figures on Mexican haciendas and ranches, playing a vital role in the rural economy.
